CelebrateHER Feature: Ebony Mitchell

Ebony Mitchell is the Founder of O.L.L.I.E. Initiative (Overachievers Living Life in Excellence) and Oremi Technologies and Solutions. The O.L.L.I.E. Initiative was founded in memory of her late grandfather Mr. Ollie Mitchell, Jr., and to empower the next generation of STEM leaders through workshops, events, and mentoring opportunities. Ebony is a graduate of Southern University in Shreveport, where she earned a Computer Science Degree and a Mathematics Associates Degree and is pursuing a Bachelor’s in Physics from Grambling State University.

Navigating her different roles and responsibilities can be difficult while managing an autoimmune disease (Crohn’s), but she is taking it in stride. Ebony believes that you can rise above any obstacle and has chosen to manifest it in her life by using her passion for technology to help others who may not otherwise be able to access the resources they need to grow their ventures through technological advancements that were once only accessible to those with deep pockets, but can now be made affordable with a little creative thinking and the right resources.

Keep pushing Ebony!
